Bizarre Interview with Nate from Rot In Hell. Shitty questioning handled with grace.

hallwaysofthealways:

The folks over at AOL’s Extreme Music page Noisecreep wanted to interview us for their website. Never thought I’d see the day where we shared a page with news of Paul Stanley fathering children at age 59. wow. Thankfully our ability to rip off Integrity’s back catalogue has been fully discussed  everywhere else on the internet, so instead they asked us about the only other thing we’re quite good at, which is taking the piss. From Holy Terror pin up boys to Zany funsters in the span of a week. Who knew eh?

There may be a few people out there who are wondering… “What the hell happened to The Horror???”. Well due to various other commitments for members of the band, they have been taking a well earned breather from their decade of service to the punk scene. That said, the band are gearing up for a performance at this year’s Out Of Spite festival.
For those of you in the UK who may have been living under a rock for the last ten or so years, Out Of Spite was the leading light in putting on annual piss ups at Joesph’s Well in Leeds where Hardcore kids, Pop-punkers, Ska fans, and Emo/Indie whatevers came together and put aside their differences for the sake of getting drunk and sweating. Nowadays most of these people are “grown up” and have grown little beards to prove it and only listen to Mike Ness solo albums or Iron and Wine and the like, but for the sake of fun they will come together on the weekend of 15th - 17th July to recapture their youth and dance to Vanilla Pod whilst wearing XXL t-shirts.
Out of Spite will take place at The Well on the above dates. You can catch The Horror on Friday 15th July and also Imbalance (Andy from The Horror’s previous band) on the Saturday for a one off reunion special. Expect it to get very messy.

Sick-Fuckin-O - Tight Grip

Sick-Fuckin-O have had a few personnel issues in their time but are now back with a dedicated line up and are better than ever, as is evident from the material on their forthcoming split 7” with Torn Apart. Featuring the awesome vocal stylings of Ian Leck (Voorhees, Walk The Plank, Meatlocker), this is for fans of straight up hardcore such as Old Cold. Don’t sleep on this upcoming release!

Torn Apart is a band going from strength to strength with every release. Coming up next for the band is a split 7” with the excellent Sick-Fuckin-O co-released by the good people at Feast Of Tentacles and ourselves here at Grot. Here is the song “Prey” from the forthcoming record. I’ll upload a Sick-O track from the record soon!

Mob Rules is one of the most exciting bands I’ve heard in a long, long time. Whether it be on record or live, these guys pretty much piss on everyone else out there. Here is some footage of them tearing Leeds a new arsehole at the Fenton on 22/2/11. If you don’t own their LP then stop messing about and get one bought from our webstore.
